The decor of the Yellow Halls was very pretty he supposed. From the Sea Folk made vases, to the old wooden book shelves lined with books which interested him more than the pottery. This very place was one of the main reasons he came here, to study with some of the greatest Healers of his time; the vast collections of knowledge contained within these shelves and others that resided in the Tower.
Despite the typical Aes Sedai attitude, most of the Yellow sisters he'd been introduced to along the way by Raelyn were some of the more self-possessed ones he'd ever heard of. Even the ones that traveled with Lord Rand, with some exceptions of course, seemed a bit more superior that they should. The White Tower, as a whole, as been a good thing for the Kingdoms; but they are not without their own woes or secrets.
Around Raelyn, it was easy to slip back into his older self. Relaxed, open, friendly, and confident, but even still he held onto his Asha'man training more than his former young man's pride. He knew the strength that he held at his command, and what exactly he could do with it. His confidence now stemmed from that, as well as the responsibility that channeling had laid on him. Also his station played a large role in his development into a man.
Being an Asha'man meant that he was a representative of the Lord Dragon, and as a male channeler, many still held to the stigma of the old times before the Cleansing of Saidin. So it was a struggle at times to get others to look past that. Even now there have been weaves developed, or discovered as Ramiel wasn't completely sure which of the two were true, to cleanse a tainted mind. It also contributed to his obvious military discipline and the way he held himself.
Another thing that he took notice of was that Yellow sisters seemed to care more about their appearance. Certainly all of the Aes Sedai he'd seen and talked to so far cared about their appearance, but the yellows... it was something more. It almost commanded attention, but it definitely could have been labeled flamboyant just as easily. Ramiel personally wanted to fit the most positive light he could on it, since his sister was one of them.
Raelyn and his conversations, while pleasant, was by no means revealing of anything. Mostly between the two, they kept the conversations mostly around the common courtesies, although he did go into somewhat greater detail of his route. He would wait until they were in her rooms before revealing anything else that he wanted to keep mostly private.
Still his eyes darted everywhere and onto everyone glancing them over quickly to determine their martial threat to him. These sisters, whom were rumored to be the more gentle of the Aes Sedai were still Aes Sedai. Their claws could be just as sharp as a dagger, they were even probably more dangerous than they were given credit for. It was even easier to harm someone with their knowledge than just raw battle weaves. He kept his face pleasant and welcomed any persons wishing to stop and speak with them while on their way to her apartment.
“So, sister, have you bonded with someone yet?”

Raelyn made a point to discuss the layout of the tower and how to find his way as they walked the levels to her quarters. It was fairly easy to get lost until you learned your bearings. She stopped a servant to request that a room be made ready for Ramiel. As they continued their trek, she greeted her fellow sisters and made quick introductions when warranted. She did not explain her relationship to him as that would likely insight a conversation and she really just wanted to spend some time catching- up with him. Fortunately many of her sisters appeared busy or preoccupied and did not press for further information. Raelyn was certainly not the most flamboyantly dressed, but she did appreciate bold colors and well-tailored dresses.
She was relieved to reach her door without having been subjected to a droning conversation. Gossip and tower politics were popular topics and not anything she was particularly interested in. Of course some good information could be gleaned from either, but some sisters did not know when to just stop talking. Her eyes flashed with intrigue and she glanced over at him with a devious smile when he asked about a bondmate. “No. Are you looking to fill the role?” Her toning had a teasing edge and she opened the door to her apartments.
The door to her apartment opened to a comfortable sitting room arranged in a semi-circle before the hearth. A petite couch was set in the middle, perpendicular to the fireplace on the right wall. The cream fabric accentuated the dark walnut finish of the elegantly curved arms and cabriole legs of the couch. Two matching chairs were placed on either side of the couch at an acute angle to facilitate socializing. A circular side table sat between each chair and the couch to offer a place to rest drinks. The sitting area was defined finally by a plush rug with a golden yellow background and a floral scroll design of green and blue around the border. At the back of the apartment were large doors with glass panes that led out onto the balcony. A rectangular table was placed in front of the balcony doors. It had matching cabriole legs as that of the couch and the table top had rounded edges ,which she found pleasing to the eye. The placement of the table offered a good view during tea and meals. On the left wall, adjacent to the sitting area were a line of three short bookshelves spaced evenly apart, containing her personal collection of books and a few treasured decorative items. The majority of her reading material pertained to herbs and descriptions of healing. Between the bookshelves and the dining area was a doorway leading to her private bed chamber.

Taking hold of Saidin he snaked tendrils of Spirit through the apartments, searching for any other life ghosting about. Before he released his hold, which was the barest amount he required, he wove a web against eavesdropping. Some of his other brothers marked him on the overly cautious side of things, verging on paranoia, but his logic wasn't flawed; when he relaxes his guard is the day that a knife slips between his ribs. He moved with a cat-like grace through the sitting area as he admired her furniture and other items that bespoke of the woman she'd become. The Wheel had spun her a fine fate thus far it seemed.
"With you? No dear sister, I've been victim of your machinations before, and been a conspirator in some. I don't think that I could handle the wheels that turn in your brilliant mind." He would have been a fool to not admit that she was the smarter of the two, and she had humble enough to not toss the fact in his teeth while they were growing up. He trusted her though, and still did, and seeking her counsel while he pursued his studies was another avenue he would use, probably the most frequently.
"I've placed a ward against others listening, " his voice rumbled off his tongue, grinning his lip-sided grin, "so shall we continue with the pleasantries or would you like to go ahead and tell me your conjectures on why I'm here?" He winked at her, his features taking on a wolfish look, "Not that you aren't a real reason. I have missed you something fierce." He moved over to her quickly, dropping all pretenses and embraced her tightly. He held her for an appropriate time before stepping back. " But honestly, Rae, I am really thirsty. Where did you say the wine was?"
